When the landmark of the Royal versus St. Thomas' Cricket Series unfolds its 125th Chapter in March, 2004, it will be a historic occasion to Royalists and Thomians and afford an opportunity for future generations to inspire them to continue playing, the game of cricket, maintaining the great traditions of the game and carry this healthy rivalry to all walks of life.

The Royal - Thomian match is something special in cricket. The two schools have met every year in an unbroken record breaking series from the year 1880. Each match has been followed closely by cricket lovers of both schools and with the passage of time this great inter-Collegiate Cricket match has become one of the leading national events in this country, displaying at all times that cricket which is a gentleman's game is fundamentally about sportsmanship and friendly rivalry, about the great history of the game and above all the glorious uncertainties of cricket.
